How to be Protected from "Intrusive Energies"

Working in the Caring Professions? Learn about Aura Protection

Dec 8, 2008 Christine Fadhley

Many people in the public arena who work with the sick or psychologically disturbed may find they are absorbing negative energies which can then affect their own health.

Often people in the caring professions find that they become ill, depressed or burnt out because of the constant exposure to negativity from their clients or patients. They may feel that this is caused by stress or emotional pressure, but the eastern view is different.

An Alternative View of Intrusive Energies and Carer-breakdown

In the western viewpoint, the human is seen as being a physical body with a mind or soul directing actions and reactions. However, the Eastern belief is that there is another level of existence, namely the spirit or energy body, that has a direct influence on health.

This information is the result of centuries of experience in fields such as acupuncture, meditation, Tai Chi and other "internal arts". Some people develop the ability to see and sense this aspect of humanity.

What is the Energy Field or Aura?

The energy body consists of the electrical field (aura), the meridians (which also include the acupuncture points used in many eastern therapies) and the chakras (often written about in yoga texts).

Many people in the west have little faith in the existence of the energy body because they have not had direct experiences of it. However the truth of the matter may be that they have had such experiences, but just not recognized them for what they are. Practitioners of oriental medicine state that many undiagnosed symptoms can be explained through Eastern medical principles even if they do not fit the western model.

What Damages the Aura?

The first line of defense of the energy body is the auric boundary. It is akin to the skin of a balloon, since when it is healthy it will repel intrusive energies. However this auric boundary can be damaged by the environment (e.g. pollution, electrical interference), by poor diet, by drugs and by extended periods of stress.

Keeping the Auric Boundary Strong

Here are some tips for keeping the aura in good shape:

  • Spend as much time as possible in the fresh air
  • Eat wholesome, fresh and vibrant food (not processed)
  • Avoid drugs (recreational or medical)
  • Stay spiritually "in the light" and avoid negative influences e.g. pornography, satanism, etc.
  • Avoid alcohol and other stimulants such as cigarettes
  • Stay grounded - regularly visualize roots going into the earth
  • Visualize a symbol of protection (e.g. crucifix) when you are in the presence of negative energies
  • Stay positive - negativity lowers the auric vibrational rate and allows negative energies to enter the field more easily
  • Visualize that you are filled with and surrounded by light inside a protective bubble
  • Lead a spiritualized life - this means asking for Divine help whenever possible
  • Regular holistic therapy treatments

Other Useful Methods of Staying Strong

Practitioners of energy medicine have successfully used homeopathic remedies such as the Bach Flower remedies in order to keep the aura cleansed after meeting with a client, patients or people who are negative. There are several manufacturers who make flower essences especially for auric cleansing.

Spiritual healing (the healing of the spirit) also offers useful prayers that can be used such as the Angelic Healing Prayer.
