Lucid Dreaming is the act of recognizing you are in a dream, becoming totally aware within your dreams, and manipulating your dreams to give you any experience you want. Triggers to Help Awaken Your Conscious Mind While in Dream State

When you are dreaming your subconscious mind takes over. The trick to having lucid dreams is to let your body become unconscious while your mind remains awake. You can create triggers which you do while awake. These triggers have to be used often enough during conscious state so that it becomes instinct when you fall asleep. Try asking yourself these questions every half hour or hour daily...

How to set the Mood for Easier Lucid Dreaming

  1. If you have a light dimmer keep your lights on but dim.
  2. If you have an alarm set your alarm on music mode (if you have it) 2-3 hours before you are supposed to wake up. If you don't have music mode, alarm mode is fine.
  3. Sitting in a chair is recommended, but definitely not necessary.
  4. Find a freeware program on the internet that supports binaural technology. Binaural technology works with headphones and uses the left and right headphone to stimulate certain types of brain states while you are asleep.

General Exercises to Have Your Body Fall Asleep While You Remain Conscious

  1. Adjust lights in your room so that they are dim.
  2. Lie down or sit in a chair keeping your eyes slightly open but mostly closed.
  3. Make sure that you are lying or sitting in a comfortable position so that you can concentrate on your affirmations instead of something that will be irritating you due to the position you are in.
  4. Constantly repeat to yourself in your head that you are going to have a lucid dream tonight, and that if you fall too deeply asleep you will realize that you are dreaming and will trigger a lucid dream.
