Research studies not only validate paranormal processes such as premonition, telepathy, and psychic powers, they also are demonstrating that these powers are available to anyone.
Terminology of Paranormal Phenomena
Extrasensory perception (ESP) includes telepathy, clairvoyance, and precognition. Telepathy is mind to mind communication. Clairvoyance is non-sensory awareness. Clairvoyance of a future event is precognition or premonition. Parapsychology or psi includes telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition, and psychokinesis.

Personal development enhancements might include: better decisions, less anxiety and fear, access to the wisdom and experience of distant and deceased experts and spiritual masters, and unlimited communication without the restrictions and costs of current processes.
Researchers find that some personality types are more receptive to paranormal powers. Those who are intuitive and extroverted seem receptive to recognizing and utilizing paranormal senses.
Enhancing Premonition Recognition
In the lingo of the widely utilized Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), those with personality type NF are prone to premonitions. Any personality can learn to enhance premonition by being in the present moment and paying close attention to events and circumstances occurring.
Most premonitions occur during dreams. Since dreams are usually quickly forgotten upon awakening, many premonitions go unrecognized. Many premonitions are discarded as "just a dream" and never acted upon due to fear of being ridiculed or perceived as mentally unstable. Paranormal abilities are often viewed as satanic, unholy, and dangerous.
Dossey suggests paying attention to premonitions that include death, are intensive and insistent, are accompanied by physical symptoms, and are intensely real. He cautions that paranormal powers, as with any human ability, should be used for the good of all. They should not be cultivated to do harm to another or to accomplish a selfish and hurtful advantage.
Paranormal Phenomena are Consistent with Science
Since paranormal phenomena seem contradictory to normal human experiences of the five senses, it might seem that reputable scientists would scoff at claims of psychic powers and paranormal experiences in general. However, there is a growing body of scientific evidence and validating experiments demonstrating the reality of paranormal experiences.
The rapidly evolving field of quantum physics demonstrates experimentally observed phenomena consistent with the paranormal. Small particles demonstrate behaviors consistent with telepathy, clairvoyance, and premonition.
Albert Einstein, the father of relativity, reflecting on telepathy noted "from physicists point of view, we have no right to rule out a priori the possibility of telepathy."
Physicist Henry Margenau says, "Strangely, it does not seem possible to find the scientific laws or principles violated by the existence of (the paranormal)."
Regarding premonitions, physicist Gerald Feinberg said, "If such phenomena indeed occur, no change in the fundamental equations of physics would be needed to describe them."
